Dr. Mohammed Nuruz Zaman is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with a distinguished career spanning over four decades in general adult psychiatry. He earned his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College, Bangladesh, and later obtained postgraduate qualifications from the Royal College of Physicians, Royal College of Surgeons, and the Royal College of Psychiatrists in the UK. Throughout his career, Dr. Zaman has held several key leadership roles, including Consultant Psychiatrist at Derbyshire Mental Health Services NHS Trust, Associate Medical Director, and Clinical Director at North Derbyshire NHS Trust. He also served as Medical Director at Cygnet Hospital Derby and as a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist at PIC Midlands. His expertise covers inpatient and community psychiatric services, forensic psychiatry, and clinical governance.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Zaman has played a pivotal role in medical education, serving as a Royal College Clinical Tutor and Lead Consultant for undergraduate psychiatric education. His management experience includes overseeing psychiatric services, mentoring medical professionals, and contributing to policy development within the NHS. Dr. Zaman retired in February 2023, leaving behind a legacy of excellence in psychiatric care, leadership, and education.
