Frequently asked questions

Which service is right for me: a psychiatrist or a therapist?+

Psychiatrists are medical doctors who diagnose mental illness and can prescribe medication. Psychologists and counsellors provide talking therapies such as CBT and EMDR. If you are unsure, call or message us and we will guide you, or take our online self-assessment first. Many people benefit from both.

Do you treat children and teenagers?+

Yes. We offer child and adolescent psychiatry, autism and developmental evaluations, psychometric assessments, parent support, school liaison, and speech and language therapy for children.

Can I have an online video consultation?+

Yes. We use a secure, confidential tele-health platform. Availability depends on the clinician, and the booking page shows whether each clinician offers online, in-person or both.

I live abroad. Can I arrange care for a family member in Bangladesh?+

You can request a consultation through our online booking page from anywhere. For questions about booking on behalf of a relative, or about our international expert video consultations, contact us by phone or email and our team will help coordinate.

What should I prepare before my appointment?+

Share any previous medical history, reports or prescriptions by email so our specialists can review them beforehand. Please also note the main concerns you want to discuss.

Is this service suitable for a mental health emergency?+

No. Our consultations, including online ones, are not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger or at risk of self-harm, call the national emergency number 999 in Bangladesh, or go to the nearest hospital emergency department.

Not sure where to start?

Tell us what is worrying you and our team will point you to the right specialist. Your enquiry is confidential.
