
Maimuna Akter Mukta – Adult Speech-Language Therapist & Audiologist | Adult Speech & Language Therapy
Maimuna Akter Mukta is a Speech-Language Therapist and Audiologist who obtained her professional qualifications from the Proyash Institute of Special Education & Research, where she is currently advancing her expertise through a master’s degree in Speech-Language Therapy and Audiology. She is a member of the Speech and Language Therapy Department at Aqidah Health Care Ltd., where she specializes in working with adults experiencing communication difficulties associated with stroke, acquired brain injury, dementia, and Parkinson’s disease. Her clinical practice focuses on providing high-quality, person-centred therapy tailored to the individual needs of people in Bangladesh. Her clinical experience has been further enriched through internships and professional placements at CMH Dhaka, Proyash Institute of Special Education & Research, NIENT, and BSMMU. She has also participated in national and international conferences, workshops, and professional development programs, which have contributed significantly to her clinical knowledge and professional growth. In addition, she has provided speech and language therapy through an online platform supporting individuals from financially disadvantaged backgrounds, helping improve access to essential communication services. Recently, Maimuna has initiated masterclasses on adult speech and language disorders, with the aim of sharing evidence-based knowledge, clinical skills, and contemporary assessment and intervention approaches with students and professionals. She is committed to ensuring that the services she provides are aligned with current international research and best clinical practices. Her professional goal is to continuously develop her knowledge and clinical expertise while contributing to the advancement of accessible, evidence-based speech and language therapy services for people across Bangladesh.
